WeChat Keyboard

WeChat Keyboard is Tencent's official keyboard app for Android devices, featuring six different typing methods, including the ability to type with alphanumeric characters or Chinese characters. When writing in Chinese, you can use the lower portion of the screen to trace the characters with your fingertip, which is very comfortable.

Easy to configure

To start using WeChat Keyboard, you'll need to grant it the corresponding permissions (typical of keyboard apps) and select it as the default keyboard. This way, the first time you go to write something, you can choose the desired typing method. Switching between each method is as simple as tapping the green button in the upper left corner of the interface. From there you can select any other method in a snap.

Fixed or floating keyboard

An interesting feature of WeChat Input Method is that you can choose whether you want to have the keyboard fixed, anchored at the bottom of the screen, or if you prefer to have it floating, being able to move it freely around the screen. This second option is often useful while playing video games, as it allows you to see most of the action and not interfere with the game as much. It is also useful for typing while you are watching a video, as it will not affect the aspect ratio.

Real-time grammar correction

WeChat Keyboard also includes its real-time grammar error correction tool. Thanks to this feature, you can write in any conversation on WeChat without worrying about making any typing errors. What's more, you can copy words and phrases to keep them in the clipboard and quickly paste them whenever you need to. This way you can have your most common responses ready to go with a single tap.
